Situated near the old lodge which was featured in a previous post, this quaint abode was most likely a vacation get away. Local vandals have their marks on the walls. Left to time, the kitchen gathers leaves and rust as curtains whisper in the breeze.
If memory serves, this may be the Van Kampen home, the last of the homes on the NJ side of the Delaware in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area, inhabited until about twenty years ago by the lone hold-out. The Columbia Country Club. better known as "Harry's Farm" was adjacent to The Van Kampen place. See www.harrysfarm.com for details about the forced evacuation and demolition of the local scene.
